Description
The Montecristo Linea 1935 line is a recent addition to the brands portfolio being released in 2017. They contain an original blend of tobacco from the Pinar del Río region to create the strongest flavours with the most intensity within the Montecristo line. The Montecristo Maltes is a Sobresalientes Vitola, it offers a 53 ring gauge and is 153mm in length. The cigars in the Linea 1935 line distinguish themselves from the rest of the brands offerings by a secondary band that carries their individual vitola names.
Taste Note
The construction of this fine cigar is second to none, they are tripa larga, totalmente a mano – long filler, totally handmade, producing a sharp burn and an abundance of rich creamy full flavoured smoke.
Aromas off the wrapper were a diverse blend of oak, corn and vanilla sweetness, while the cold draw offered notes of leather, ground coffee and citrus. Once lit we found an earthy dominance to the flavour which quickly opened up to brighter notes of citrus and honey with a dash of pepper as we closed in on the finish, which landed around the 90 minute mark.
